ALSO!!

i totes got three volunteers to let me draw them [naked ;)] as my final part to this blog project. i just need to find a place to do this cause i feel like my family would find it less normal than i do... hmm... studio after school? hahaha

musclez.

learning bout the torso / arm / how they are divided into separate sections. i never really looked at the torso as three sections: chest, abdomen, pelvis -- it will make it easier to draw if i think about it in those sections in comparison to one large shape.

i'm really enjoying working with color when drawing these figures, although this is a really bad scan of this sketch..., i think it makes the depths and creveses of the body stand out more. i want to work with colored pencils, pastels, and paint and continue to use color.

ideas

so, i've been thinking about what i'd want to do for my actual concentration, after these four weeks of blogging are done. and i think i want to do something like the picture above this post, sort of like a variety of different figure poses, all flowing together, at different points of being finished, but on a really large piece of paper. i don't know how i'm going to do that, unless i just make up the figures because i doubt i could get anyone to pose for me. i could get someone to pose in clothes or like a bathing suit or something. i think it's a cool idea, and i'd probably use charcoal because that's my favorite when figure drawing. i could also do a bunch of different large drawings of figures all in different mediums: charcoal, pencil, colored pencil, pastels, etc. i'd like to explore new mediums that way.
